The Power of Making

The Hummingbird has had a wonderful week. A big part of this is due to our wonderful students and another significant factor is the wonderful team of adults that we have in a such a beautiful place.

Here are our youngest and eldest team members - our artist and illustrator in residence - Jeff who also teaches art at the Hummingbird and won a Pearson Teaching Award (teaching Oscar) and Zanna our published illustrator in residence who survived being taught by Dave when she was a kid . Zanna and Jeff offer a playful approach to discovery and model the power of creativity to support learning.
